Rebuild From Catalogue to Distributor Resource

When owner bought Diamondline two years ago and inherited a website that had not changed in a decade: an old product catalogue converted to digital and left there. Distributors who needed a spec sheet rang him for it.

Results

A distributor network that can sell on its own

The range now sorts by application across six categories, fifteen authorised distributors appear with a national locator, and every product carries a downloadable spec sheet, so distributors answer their own customers' questions.

6 Ranges

Paint, flooring, solid surfaces, glass, HVAC and automotive marine, each with its own path

15 Distributors

Authorised stockists listed on the site with a national distributor locator

Self-Serve

Product spec sheets downloadable on the spot, so distributors sell without waiting on a call

30+ Years

Three decades of Diamond Guard history, presented properly for the first time

Solution

A catalogue that works as a sales tool

Diamondline sells through distributors rather than direct, so the site had two jobs: help a builder find the right product, and give the distributor selling it everything needed to close without a phone call.

Process

Structuring around application, not product code

A builder protecting a stone benchtop and a fabricator masking powder-coated aluminium want different products, and neither knows the product code. We structured the range by application first, across paint, flooring, solid surfaces, glass, HVAC and automotive marine, so a search that starts with the surface ends at the right film.

The distributor side needed different thinking. Fifteen authorised stockists carry Diamond Guard, each working from whatever information reached them, or ringing Craig. Product PDFs now sit on the site where a distributor downloads them mid-conversation, and a national locator sends buyers to the nearest stockist.

Media & Websites

Thirty years of product, finally organised

Six categories and sixteen sub-ranges, each with specifications, applications and downloadable documentation, alongside quote and sample request flows that route to the right place.

Owner has since reported customers coming back to him unprompted about how easy the site is to navigate.
